Halloum burger

Main dish

  • Olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 pack halloum
  • 4 large Portobello mushrooms (without the stalks)
  • 4 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
  • 150g of coleslaw salad
  • 1 tomato
  • Slice the burger buns in half and drizzle some olive oil. Grill each side until charred and crisp. Set aside.
  • Peel the onion, slice it and coat it in olive oil. Grill the onion until softened and slightly charred. Set aside.
  • Slice the halloum into 12 slices. Grill the slices on both sides until they turn golden brown.
  • Coat the mushrooms with barbecue sauce. Grill the mushrooms until both sides are slightly charred.
  • Assemble the burger as follow: bun, coleslaw, sliced tomato, sliced onion, sliced halloum, mushrooms, bun.
